Located just off Hwy 3 in Dayspring, this is a 5km. looping trail system with interpretive stations, picnic tables, benches and outdoor washroom facilities. Trails are level, smooth and wide with plenty of parking available at the park entrance. Beautiful views of the LaHave River are an attractive feature of this trail system. Use of these trails is limited to hikers, bicycles and skiers.
You can see hundreds of lady slippers and other wild flowers along the 5 km of walking trails. The trails are all level, smooth, and accessible to walkers, strollers, and wheelchairs. The inner parking area is open from early spring to late fall, but visitors are welcome all year long.
In the spring you will be able to see hundreds of lady slippers and other wild flowers. In the fall, the changing of the colors are absolutely beautiful. This park has a long history of being an old local settlement, which is indicated by the remains of stone foundations throughout the site.
The park is open daily from 8:00 a.m to dusk.
Special events are held in the park throughout the year and are open to the public. Watch our Recreation Guides for information or call 902-541-1343.
Dogs are welcomed, as long as they are on a leash to be respectful of other park users, and don’t forget to pick up after your furry friend!
Please note: All sites are unsupervised and there is no winter maintenance.
