The museum was officially opened in 1995 and features articles on the Island with old tools and items from the Island.

Wishing Stones Studio & Gallery is located in the old general store building at 151 Southeast Cove Road, Big Tancook Island, NS. Proprietor Hillary Dionne is a full-time island resident and self-taught nature photographer. At Wishing Stones you will find many interesting photos of Tancook Island and vicinity, as well as a small selection of beach glass treasures such as earrings and pendants also created by Hillary. Located approximately one mile from the ferry’s berth, Wishing Stones is a charming and peaceful place to stop as you explore beautiful Tancook Island.

Carolyn’s is an eat-in or take-out restaurant, specializing in fresh seafood, burgers, sandwiches, salads, seafood chowder, home made pie, ice cream, hot and cold drinks and much more.

Dine in overlooking the picturesque Mahone Bay, or take out Carolyn’s fresh, top quality home-cooking.  Bus tours and large groups should call ahead and ask her to prepare a delicious chowder luncheon, just for you and your friends…made with only the freshest seafood available.
