Trails
Our winter maintenance schedule for our parks and trails has begun. You are still welcome to visit our spaces from dawn until dusk daily!
The park gates will be closed at Miller Point Peace Park, Indian Falls, Wiles Lake, Mushamush Beach Park, and MARC Ballfields.
During the winter, regular or scheduled maintenance is not provided. Our crew will only focus on essential safety checks. In our open parks, minimal services and critical upkeep can be expected. Please report any unsafe conditions or concerns to parks@modl.ca.
Indian Path Common
Location: Lunenburg Region

Green Trail: 2.0 km
Blue Trail: 0.5 km

Indian Path Common has three recreational hiking trails with access and parking on Fish Peddler’s Road which branches off Indian Path Road from Route 332.

Adventure Trail
Location: Lunenburg Region
This 15 km trail runs between the Towns of Mahone Bay and Bridgewater and connects with the Dynamite Trail to the East and the Centennial Trail in the Town of Bridgewater to the West.
Access includes hikers, bicycles, ATV’s, snowmobiles, skies, and horses.
Arthur Young Trail
Location: Lunenburg Region
Through a partnership with the Best Western Cookville, the Arthur Young Trail was officially opened in 2012. Arthur Young served 42 consecutive years as Councillor for the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg. The name was chosen by a student at Newcombville Elementary to recognize Councillor Young’s last year of service prior to retirement. River Ridge Common
Location: New Germany & Area
Owned by the District of Lunenburg since 2011, River Ridge Common is a 115 acre park in the north end of the Municipality. Municipal Activity and Recreation Complex
Location: Dayspring & Area
The Municipal Activity and Recreation Complex in Dayspring, better known as the MARC, is a year round outdoor recreation facility free for public usage.
